Our Club

The Port Melbourne Chargers Football Club is a community-driven women’s football club based in Port Melbourne, established in 2025 to strengthen and future-proof the girls’ and women’s football pathway in Melbourne’s inner bayside.

Formed in response to rapid growth in female participation and the need for a dedicated, values-led club environment, the Chargers compete in the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) and sit within a broader Port Melbourne football pathway that spans Auskick, juniors, community football and beyond.

The club is focused on sustainable growth, strong governance, and creating an environment where players feel a genuine sense of belonging while developing their football and leadership potential.
